What the City Announced
The Artesia City Council recently approved the expansion of the Security Rebate Program, which now allows for eligible business owners to apply for a rebate towards qualifying security systems. Residents are also encouraged to apply for reimbursement towards home security systems to contribute to public safety efforts throughout the community.
Residents may be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $250, and business owners may be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $500 toward the purchase of a qualifying security system.

Stand-alone, monitored home alarm systems
Exterior flood lights with cameras
Motion sensor lights with cameras

Residents and business owners seeking reimbursement must submit their applications within sixty (60) days of the equipment purchase date. Program requirements include proof of residency for residential applicants, a copy of a valid business license for commercial applicants, a copy of a paid receipt or invoice dated July 1, 2026 or later, and photos providing proof of installation.
Cameras must have a minimum resolution of 1080p and must be capable of accessing video footage for a minimum of seven (7) days. Applications for reimbursement towards camera purchases must also include images displaying the installed camera angle(s) monitoring public-facing areas, and proof of registration with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Camera Registry at www.connectlosangelescounty.org.
Applications must include all required documents to be considered and only one rebate may be received per address. Program funds are limited; applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
